OPINION

LUTTIG, Circuit Judge:

Appellant Daryl Jones appeals from a district court ordér denying his motion to dismiss his indictment. For the reasons set forth below, we affirm.

Jones was indicted on February 25,1998 for violating 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1), which reads as follows:(g) It shall be unlawful for any person (1) who has been convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year ... to ship or transport in interstate or foreign commerce, or…
