hDerek Dewayne Harris was charged with possession of more than 28 but less than 200 grams of cocaine, a violation of La. R.S. 40:967(F); battery of a police officer, a violation of La. R.S. 14:34.2; and, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a violation of La. R.S. 40:966(A)(1). Following the denial of his motion to suppress, the defendant pled guilty to these charges, reserving his right to appeal the denial of his motion to suppress under State v.
