CUMMINGS, Circuit Judge.

In December 1975, the defendant, Terrence Creamer, a Chicago police officer, was indicted along with Waroon Netisingha and Lee Martin on one count of conspiracy to distribute heroin in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846, and three substantive counts of heroin distribution in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1). Both Netisingha and Martin entered guilty pleas prior to Creamer’s trial, but only Martin offered testimony at the trial. 1 After a three-day trial beginning on March 30, 1976, the jury found defendant guilty on all four counts and Creamer received 15-year concurrent…
