The Trustee in bankruptcy of Laverty Detective Bureau, Inc. (Laverty), commenced an adversary proceeding in the Bankruptcy Court against defendants American National Bank & Trust of New Jersey (American), assignee of Princeton American Credit Corp. (Princeton), seeking to recover an alleged preferential transfer pursuant to § 60(a) of the Bankruptcy Act, 11 U.S.C. § 96(a).
