This is an action to recover damages for injuries resulting from the alleged negligence of the defendant when under its employ as a brakeman on its freight train running from Portland, Maine, to Montreal, Canada. Pleas, general issue, and special that the defendant had obtained a full release and discharge under seal from the plaintiff releasing and discharging it from all liability which may have arisen on account of the alleged negligence.
