*897The appellant was convicted in the Justice of Peace Court of District 3 of Holmes County, Mississippi of the unlawful possession of intoxicating liquor. He appealed to the circuit court where he was tried de novo and found guilty and sentenced to pay a fine of $400 and costs. He now appeals to this Court.

Among other contentions urged by him for the reversal of the judgment of the court below, he contends that the trial court erred in deying his request for a peremptory instruction and that the verdict of the jury is against the overwhelming weight of the evidence. We consider these two…
