HARRIS, Judge.

Appellant was convicted for the illegal possession of narcotic drugs contrary to the provisions of the Alabama Uniform Controlled Substances Act. He was sentenced to a six-year term in the penitentiary. He was represented by a court-appointed lawyer. At arraignment he pleaded not guilty. He is in this court with a free transcript and trial counsel was ap- • pointed to represent him on this appeal.
