BARNES, Presiding Judge.

Sanyo Walter McGee appeals his conviction for trafficking in cocaine and his sentence of life imprisonment. He challenges the sufficiency of the evidence to support his conviction, maintains that *662the trial court made several errors in its charge and recharge to the jury, and contends that the trial court erred in sentencing him to life in prison as a recidivist. While the evidence was sufficient to support McGee’s conviction, the trial court erred in its response to a jury question regarding the knowledge requirement of the trafficking statute.
