Tbis action was begun in tbe Superior Court of Mecklen-burg County, North Carolina. On tbe facts alleged in tbe complaint as bis cause of action, tbe plaintiff, a citizen of the State of North Carolina, demands judgment that he recover of the defendants the sum of $25,000. The defendant, the Lincoln National Life Insurance Company, is a corporation, organized and doing business under the laws of the State of Indiana, with its principal office in said state. It is not a citizen of the State of North Carolina. The other defendants are residents and citizens of this State.
