The defendant, Jarrell Richards, was convicted, on a conditional plea of nolo contendere, 1 of possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle in violation of General Statutes § 29-38. 2 The defendant entered his plea following the trial court’s denial of his motion to suppress evidence seized from an automobile that the defendant had been driving when it became subject to an investigatory stop by the police.
