In this application for letters of administration, the question presented is whether a nondomiciliary alien can ever be deemed eligible to serve as the administrator of an intestate estate, thereby enabling him to make a valid designation pursuant to SCPA 1001 (6) of a domiciliary administratrix who is neither a distributee nor a trust company (see, SCPA 1001 [7]).
