On December 9, 1983, plaintiff filed his notice of appeal from the trial court’s order filed December 8, 1983. This notice of appeal indicated that a transcript of proceedings which took place on December 7, 1983, would be filed for inclusion in the record on appeal.

On February 1, 1984, defendant filed its motion to dismiss plaintiff’s appeal on the ground that pursuant to the provisions of OCGA § 5-6-48 (c), there had been an unreasonable and inexcusable delay in filing the transcript which plaintiff directed was to be included in the record on appeal.
