The questions arising in this case are free from difficulty. The first point made hy the appellant is, that the chancery court erred in overruling the demurrer to the bill. The demurrer was based upon several grounds, the first of which is, that the account between Porter and Steelman, and which, as the bill alleges, was, hy a written» contract exhibited with the bill, assigned by Steelman to the plaintiff, the appellee here, is not assignable.
