This was a complaint by the appellees against the appellant and Benjamin F. Johnson, her husband, upon a promissory note executed by the defendants, and to enforce a mechanic’s lien. The complaint sets out a promissory note executed by the defendants to the plaintiffs for the sum of two hundred and twenty-six dollars, due at ninety days, and dated August 4th, 1867, and avers that it was given for work and materials furnished in building, a house for the defendants on a lot described, in the city of Indianapolis, and that a lien was filed within sixty days from the completion of the building,…
