Defendants seek decertification of the plaintiff class in these consolidated federal and state actions. Class plaintiffs purchased securities issued by American Continental Corporation (“ACC”), parent company to Lincoln Savings and Loan Association (“Lincoln”). The failure of the ACC/Lincoln enterprise precipitated the present actions against chairman Charles H. Keating, Jr., ACC/Lincoln directors and officers, lawyers, accountants and others.
