By deed dated January 25, 1915, John Quarles conveyed to his wife, L. A. Quarles, for the term of her life various tracts of land situated in Erath county; also two lots in the town of Gordon, Palo Pinto county; also certain live stock, farming implements, and a vendor’s lien note. The property belonged to the community estate of Quarles and his wife, and was all or practically all of the property owned by John Quarles available for the payment of his debts.
