In this case, the Tax Court is required to determine if the George Street Playhouse, Inc., is entitled to an exemption from local property taxation for the property it owns in New Brunswick for the tax year of 1979.
The subject of this litigation is a theater owned by defendant George Street Playhouse, Inc. The assessor for plaintiff City of New Brunswick assessed defendant’s property for the tax year 1979 at $72,000 (Land — $36,000; Improvements — $36,000).
