Garry Ellis (Garry) appeals from a decree of final distribution in the decedent’s estate of his mother, Zelda Ellis (Zelda). 1 Garry argues, inter alia, that the court erred in overruling an objection to the final settlement and approving the final decree of distribution because three lots inventoried in the estate were sold by private sale without proper notice being given as required by § 473.493. 2 Because this point has merit, the case must be reversed and remanded for further proceedings.
