Edwardo Izaguirre was convicted of second degree murder. On appeal, he contends that his unified life sentence, with a sixty-year fixed term of imprisonment, is excessive; that the district court erred by denying his motion for a neuropsychological evaluation at public expense to support his motion to reduce the sentence; that the district court erred by denying his motion to reduce the sentence on the evidence presented; and that the district court erred by imposing restitution in an amount exceeding Izaguirre’s present or future ability to pay.
