On October 20, 1961, Villie V. Cousins was injured in a motor vehicle collision in Norfolk, Virginia, involving an automobile owned and operated by Deloris Fennell Murphy. Thereafter Mrs. Cousins recovered of Mrs. Murphy a judgment for her damages in the amount of $3,000.00 plus interest and costs. Execution was issued on the judgment and returned unsatisfied.

At the time of the accident, there was in effect an automobile liability insurance policy issued by General Accident Fire and Life Assurance Corporation, Ltd., hereinafter called General Accident, to Mrs. Cousins, to which was attached…
