Following a September 2002 bench trial, defendant, Anthony Bishop, was convicted of driving under the influence of drugs (DUI) pursuant to section 11— 501(a)(6) of the Illinois Vehicle Code (625 ILCS 5/11—501(a)(6) (West 2000)) for a November 2001 automobile accident.
