In tlie year 1871 Joel Murrell died intestate in Perry county, Ky. At tlie time of liis death he owned a tract of land located on Hell-for-Ceitain creek. He also had a title bond for six-sevenths of a tract of land of about 200 acres located on the Middle fork of the Kentucky river. Decedent left surviving him a widow, Polly Murrell, and five children: Nancy, Mary Jane, Elizabeth, Cynthia, and Grant.
