At the September term, 1911, of the Circuit Court of Peoria county, Samuel F. Darr and Harvey Austin Six, plaintiffs in error, together with Louis Wood Hill and John Doe were indicted for a conspiracy to obtain by means of false pretenses moneys from the German Fire Insurance Company of Peoria. The person represented as John Doe seems not to have been arrested. Hill turned state’s evidence. Darr and Six were tried, convicted and sentenced to the penitentiary for a term of three years and sued out this writ of error to review the judgment, and Darr obtained a supersedeas upon presenting a…
