OPINION
INTRODUCTION
Respondent, Alfred H.H., was involuntarily committed to McFarland Mental Health Center on May 11, 2007. On May 22, 2007, respondent filed in the circuit court of Sangamon County a timely notice of appeal from his commitment order. Less than a month after his appeal was filed, on June 19, 2007, respondent was discharged from McFarland.
