■ The defendant, John A. Thomas, Jr., was convicted as charged of second degree murder and sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. We affirm the defendant’s conviction and sentence.

FACTS

On March 19, 2002, the defendant visited his former girlfriend, Corney Pierce, at her workplace, Jewella Food Mart. Her employer, Mohammed Yousef, told the defendant that she was not allowed to talk to him during work hours. Ms. Pierce testified that the defendant then shot Mr. You-sef twice.
