Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia ATLANTA,____________________ September 01, 2023 The Court of Appeals hereby passes the following order: A24A0207. DIANTE LAMONT THOMPSON v. THE STATE. A jury found Diante Lamont Thompson guilty of malice murder and other crimes. Following the denial of his motion for new trial, Thompson appealed to this Court. He has filed a motion transfer his appeal to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has appellate jurisdiction over “[a]ll cases in which a sentence of death was imposed or could be imposed.” Ga.
