People v. Meyer

Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York

Decided July 23, 2014No. 2012-01428PublishedCited by 2 opinions

1Opinion of the Court

Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Zayas, J.), rendered January 20, 2012, convicting him of gang assault in the first degree and assault in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing a determinate term of imprisonment of 18 years followed by a period of post-release supervision of five years upon each of his convictions, the sentences to be served concurrently. The appeal brings up for review the denial, after a hearing, of that branch of the defendant’s omnibus motion which was to suppress certain statements made to law enforcement officials.
