_JjThis matter involves the involuntary termination of parental rights. The State of Louisiana, Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), filed a Termi*283nation of Parental Rights petition to terminate the parental rights of the mother and father of the minor child, D.W.1 The trial court granted the petition to terminate the father’s parental rights; however, it'' denied the request to terminate the mother’s parental rights.
