Following a jury trial in the circuit court of Cook County, defendant Maurice Green was convicted of murder, aggravated criminal sexual assault and unlawful restraint. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, pars. 9 — 1(a)(1), 12 — 14(a)(1), 10 — 3(a).) Defendant was sentenced to an extended term of 60 years’ imprisonment for murder, 60 years’ extended term for aggravated criminal sexual assault, to run consecutively to the term for murder, and three years’ for unlawful restraint, to run concurrently with the term for aggravated criminal sexual…
