This suit was brought by appellee to recover damages for the negligent transmission of a telegraph message by appellant.
The message directed to be sent read:
“Meet me immediately with two horses at Buffalo Springs. Bring Shep.”
As delivered it read:
“Meet me immediately with two horses at Buffalo Springs. Bring sheep.”
The message was sent from Gainesville, Texas, to Fort Griffin, Texas, and from there mailed to Throckmorton, Texas.
The plaintiff then owned and had on his ranch in Throckmorton County a flock of 2500 head of sheep. He had just purchased a flock of about…
