On December 5, 1912, R. C. Preston,, defendant in error, sued the Badger Oil & Gas Company, a foreign corporation, plaintiff in error, for $1,785, for seven months’ services rendered as field manager of defendant. He alleged that defendant employed, him as. such from and after October 10, 1911, for a term of one year at a salary of $250 per month; that it paid him for five months at that rate, after which it “wantonly and willfully violated and breached its said contract, by failing and refusing to pay his salary as the same became: due for the remainder of the year, * * * ” and prevented him…
