Yesenia del Carmen Vega-Ayala petitions for review of the Board of Immigration Appeals’ (“BIA”) affirmance of an immigration judge’s (“IJ”) denial of her application for asylum and withholding of removal. Vega-Ayala argued that she had suffered past persecution in El Salvador and that she had a well-founded fear of future persecution on account of her membership in a particular social group.
