¶ 1 The instant appeal arises from a mortgage foreclosure action filed against defendants Kathy Griffin and Mark P. Thomas 1 by plaintiff Neighborhood Lending Services, Inc. Plaintiff attempted to serve defendant personally, but Griffin, defendant's wife, informed the process server that defendant did not live at the residence and would provide no information as to how to reach him.
