Appeal from an order of the Family Court of Clinton County (Lawliss, J.), entered June 2, 2005, which granted petitioner’s application, in a proceeding pursuant to Family Ct Act article 6, to modify a prior order of custody and visitation.
The parties are the parents of Sarah (born in July 1999), the child who is the subject of this proceeding. Respondent (hereinafter the mother) also had two children prior to the parties’ marriage, Chelsea and Shelby (born in 1987 and 1991, respectively), both of whom petitioner (hereinafter the father) adopted *1101in 1998.
