This is a criminal action wherein Dennis Shepherd, Jr. (defendant-appellant), 17 years of age, was certified by the juvenile court of Wyandotte County, waiving its original jurisdiction, to the district court for trial on the charge of murder in the first degree (K. S. A. 1972 Supp. 21-3401) while perpetrating or attempting to perpetrate the felony of aggravated robbery (K. S. A. 1972 Supp. 21-3427). Upon trial to a jury he was found guilty and sentenced to the custody of the state penal director for life. (K.S.A. 1972 Supp. 21-4501 [a].)…
