*704This was an action of- George G. Kendricks, the plaintiff in error here, against the city of Norfolk and the Virginia Railway and Power Company, as joint defendants, to recover damages for personal injuries to the plaintiff, alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the defendants. There was a verdict for the plaintiff. This verdict was set aside by the trial court and judgment entered for the defendants in that court under section 6251 of the Code.
