This False Claims Act ("FCA") case pertains to Medicare reimbursements for at-home blood-testing kits. The kits allow patients on blood-thinning medication to monitor their blood's clotting time at home rather than traveling to a hospital or clinic. The eight Defendants all supply these kits to patients and get reimbursed through Medicare. However, Defendants only provide kits to patients who test two to four times per month.
