The grand jury of Coffee county on October 23, 1924, returned in open court an indictment charging Walter Brunson with the killing of Clark Bennett under circumstances constituting murder in the first degree. The jury, found him guilty, as charged in the indictment of murder in the first degree, fixed his punishment at imprisonment in the penitentiary for life, and from a judgment and sentence of the court according to the verdict of the jury this appeal is prosecuted by the defendant.
