This was an action by Catharine Haag, against the Board of Commissioners of Vanderburgh county, for keeping and maintaining a nuisance, to the damage of the plaintiff.

The complaint is in three paragraphs.

The first paragraph charges, that the defendant, on the 1st day of January, A. D. 1874, and on divers other days and times until the commencement of this suit, kept and maintained a pest-house for the treatment of small-pox patients, on a tract of laud owned by the defendant, lying near the plaintiff’s dwelling-house and premises, occupied by her and her family as their place of residence;…
