This is an indictment against the defendants, for a conspiracy to charge one Julia W. Riñes, the wife of Stover Riñes, one of the defendants, with the crime of adultery. At the Court of Common Pleas, January term, 1837, Charles Burling-ham, John T. Moward, Stover Riñes, William Turns and Mary Ann Riñes were found guilty by the jury, and Sarah Lane not guilty.
