Plaintiff, Van Flowers, the surviving spouse of Julia Flowers, brought suit against Memorial Medical Center, Inc. The material allegations of the complaint read as follows: “1. The Defendant is a corporation . . . and is subject to the jurisdiction of this Court. 2. On or about February 8, 1988, Julia Flowers, the deceased, was a patient at the Defendant’s hospital. 3.
