MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

I. Synopsis

Before the Court is Defendant’s request, following her plea of guilty, to remain on bond pending sentencing in this matter. *543The Government opposes this request and asks that Defendant be detained pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3143(a)(2). Defendant does not contest that § 3143(a)(2) is applicable to this case and provides for mandatory detention based upon the offenses to which Defendant pled guilty. However, Defendant contends that exceptional reasons exist pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3145(c) to permit her release pending sentencing.…
