The object of the bill is to restrain the defendant corporation, the township of South Orange, in the county of Essex, by its township committee, from adopting an ordinance, under consideration by it, declaring forfeited and ended the rights, powers and privileges, and. every of them, of the complainant, the North Jersey Street Railway Company, acquired under a previous ordinance of the defendant, adopted April 3d, 1896, authorizing and empowering the construction, operation and maintenance of a street railway along Springfield avenue, in said township, and providing for the sale…
