This is a proceeding in quo warranto. On March 1, 1926, William B. Lymer, as attorney general of the Territory, filed in the circuit court a verified petition in which the legal right of the respondent, Jonah Kumalae, to hold the office of supervisor of the City and County of Honolulu was challenged. On the same day the petition was filed the writ of quo warranto was issued by the order of Honorable Frank Andrade, circuit judge, and was made returnable on the 5th day of March, 1926.
