1st Nationwide Collection Agency, Inc. (“Nationwide”) filed an action against Eileen Werner to collect a debt for medical services rendered to Werner. Werner filed counterclaims alleging Nationwide had violated the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”) and Georgia’s Fair Business Practices Act (“FBPA”). The trial court granted Werner summary judgment as to Nationwide’s collection case and set the case for a nonjury trial on Werner’s claims.
