PERRY, Senior District Judge.

This case is before the Court pursuant to motions by the defendants to dismiss the indictment against them upon the ground that the government has failed to comply with the Speedy Trial Act of 1974, 18 U.S.C. §§ 3161-62. Specifically, the defendants argue that though they were arrested July 1, 1997 and, pursuant to the Government’s motion, held without bail pursuant to a warrant charging them with various narcotic offenses, no indictment or information was entered against them within thirty days as required by the Speedy Trial Act.
