Mrs. Nellie M. Dolan sued the defendant for damages for personal injuries alleged to have been sustained by her by falling on the floor of the defendant’s store in Memphis, Tennessee, because of the manner in which the floor was constructed and the manner in which the place where the accident occurred was lighted. Plaintiff, Joseph E. Dolan, sued for loss of services on account of the injuries sustained by his wife and also for the expenses incurred by him as a result of the injuries sustained by his wife.
