— Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Farlo, J.), rendered January 5, 1987, convicting him of assault in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The charges against the appellant arose from an incident *370during which he and a codefendant restrained the complainant, while another codefendant, armed with a knife, purportedly stabbed the complainant.
