The defendant, Jesse L. Miller, Jr., is presently the alderman of the 24th ward in the City of Chicago. The plaintiffs, Patricia Henderson and Diane Logan, appeal from an order denying their petition for leave to file a complaint in quo warranto in which they sought the removal of the defendant from the office of alderman. The trial judge held that the plaintiffs lacked standing to bring the action, that the action was time barred and that the circuit court lacked original jurisdiction.
