RUDMAN, Justice.

Jeffrey Roman appeals from a judgment entered on his conviction of gross sexual assault in violation of 17-A M.R.S.A. § 253 (Supp.1992), following a jury trial in the Superior Court (Knox County, Brodrick, J).
